User Relationships

A relationship type is a name that you use to define what the relationship is between two users in Kontinuum. Relationships do not effect the end user behaviour of Kontinuum unless rules are explicitly defined to utilise user relationships information.

Defining relationship types

To create a new relationship type login as the Administrator and select users from the admin menu. Click on the relationship types folder and click add relationship type fro the popup menu. Fill in the name of the relationship you want to create and click submit. You can also set the opposite relationship name for instance if you set a relationship employer having the opposite relationship as employee then if you define Gary as the employer of Carla then Carla is automatically defined as the employee of Gary.

Assigning relationships to a user

Click on a user

Click on the user relationships tab

Select the name of the user

Select the name of the relationship you want to define
