| ▪ | Kontinuum allows you to set an escalation event upon a certain time condition being met |
| ▪ | These events allow Designers to re-assign a task to a different end User or send an email notifying someone of the delay |
| ▪ | Events are scheduled to run after a time based calculation is met |
| ▪ | First pick your reference time or Start Time, this is either when the task first became available or when the task is due |
| ▪ | Next pick the amount of time before or after this date |
| ▪ | For example: If you want to escalate a task 1 day after its due date, select Due Date from the Start Point, Day from the Time Unit and 1 from the Time Amount |
| ▪ | The Escalation Rule should be a list of end Users or User Types that the task will be re-assigned to |
| ▪ | For example: [Gary][Finance] would re-assign the task to Gary's and members of the Finance User Types |
| ▪ | This task will also appear in their individual Task Lists |
| ▪ | The Escalation rule should be in Kontinuum Series Format |
| ▪ | The syntax for the Email Rule is: [Body Text][Subject Text][Recipient list] |
When do Escalations Run?
| ▪ | Use the Windows Scheduler to determine when and how often you want to run WebandFlo2005Escalate.exe |
| ▪ | When running this program it scans all the escalation events and if any of them have become true it either sends the email, reassigns the task or both
